13 September, 2022: IBC had a meeting with Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The Embassy of India in Moscow hosted a meeting between Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and representatives from the Indian Textile Industry in Moscow. Mr. Akashdeep Singh, chairman and managing director of «Vulkan-A», and Mr. Anuj Arora, owner and managing director of «Karl Florens», represented the Indian Business Council at the event. Shri Navodit Verma, Second Secretary of the Embassy’s Economic and Commercial Wing, and Usha Radhakrishna, Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center, were also present at the meeting.
Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe expressed his joy and gratitude for hosting the Indian companies and underlined the Government of India’s willingness to assist them in any way possible. He stated that «the Indian businesses play a very important part along with the Government of India and Embassy in improving ties between nations, not only culturally, but obviously, in the terms of business». It was noted how important Indian art is to the textile business as an aspect of Indian culture.
The President of IBC spoke on how the government of India may assist Indian textile enterprises in Russia and what improvements should be made to promote Indo-Russian relations. Mr. Anuj Arora, another IBC official, offered important remarks about the future development of the Indian textile sector in Russia.
