IBC met with representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry.

On November 22, 2022, in New Delhi, India, Mr. Akashdeep Singh, President of the Association for the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Support of Business Relations “Indian Business Council,” Chairman & Managing Director of Vulkan-A Textiles, Sheeram Gums (food industry, chemicals for oil and gas industry), met with Mrs. Pooja Jha, Director and Head of the CII (The Confederation of Indian Industry) (Israel & Eurasia).

Both parties emphasized the importance of active participation by businesses in both countries in order to strengthen Indo-Russian commercial relations. It was recognized that under the current circumstances, there is a wide range of chances for Indian enterprises to fill the void left by the exodus of international corporations from Russia.

She also stated that the Confederation’s members are eager to support the establishment of relations with Russian businesses and are interested in active cooperation to strengthen the growing Indo-Russian economic ties. Parties agreed to continue exchanging information in order to meet the stated aims.
