Mr. Akashdeep Singh, President of the Association for the Development of Entrepreneurship and the Support of Business Relations “Indian Business Council,” Chairman & Managing Director of Vulkan-A Textiles, Sheeram Gums (food industry, chemicals for oil and gas industry), and Mr. Arthur Yurievich Gerbst, First Secretary, Head of the Consular Division of the Russian Embassy in India met on November 22, 2022, in New Delhi, India. The main focus of the meeting was the current state of India-Russia economic relations.

Both the sides recognized the need of easing business travel for both countries. They discussed the current state of things regarding invitations and visas for Indian firms visiting Russia.
Mr. Arthur Herbst agreed that advice for Indian businessmen in this area were needed and requested the IBC to submit its perspective on how the consulate might assist.
Mr. Akashdeep Singh promised that IBC will provide the necessary information with the assistance of IBC members with many years of successful business experience in Russia. The sides agreed to continue cooperating in order to accomplish the stated objectives in order to further enhance ties between India and Russia.
