On December 2, 2024, Mr. Ashok Jayaswal, the esteemed General Secretary of the IBC, participated as a speaker in the *V Jubilee National Congress on the Export of Medical Services during the International Scientific and Practical Forum, “Russian Healthcare Week-2024.”This event featured a diverse array of international participants, including representatives from China, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
During the international session titled “Expanding Cooperation: Foreign Experience in the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Foreign Patients in Medical and Wellness Centers in Russia,” Mr. Jayaswal highlighted the growing opportunities in international medical tourism, emphasizing the potential for collaboration between India and Russia.
With India’s medical tourism sector experiencing rapid growth, he shared his optimistic views on its future over the next decade, stating that it is a unique chance for nations to collaborate and exchange best practices, ultimately benefiting patients worldwide.
To support the ongoing development of this sector, Mr. Jayaswal proposed the creation of a working group dedicated to fostering future growth. This group would unite experts from both India and Russia to share knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and devise strategies to enhance international medical tourism.
