On February 26, 2025, the Indian Business Council (IBC) embarked on a landmark journey to Ivanovo, Russia, marking the first-ever joint trip to the regions of Russia. This visit was a significant step towards fostering stronger business relationships between India and Russia, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations.
The delegation, led by Mr. Akashdeep Singh, President of the Association of Entrepreneurs, included Mr. Farooq Mir (Vice President), Mr. Anupam Mishra (IBC Core Committee), Mr. Neeraj Kumar (representing Vial-Inter), and Mr. Kishore Mordani (representing Raduga-Textile). Together, they explored the potential for growth and partnership in the Ivanovo region.
The delegation held productive discussions with the Department
of Economic Development and Trade of the Ivanovo Region and the Agency for Attracting Investments. The Deputy Governor of the Ivanovo Region expressed strong support for Indian businesses, emphasizing the region’s commitment to fostering Indo-Russian trade.
The delegation visited the Ivanovo Free Economic Zone, gaining insights into the unique benefits and opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs looking to expand their footprint in Russia.
A visit to Ivanovo’s renowned textile factories showcased cutting-edge production processes, modern equipment, and high-quality products. The trip highlighted the potential for collaboration in the textile sector, a key area of interest for both nations.
The delegation engaged in B2B meetings with local businesses, laying the groundwork for future partnerships. Both sides agreed to maintain close contact to further explore opportunities and strengthen ties.
