IBC Participation in Russia-India “TIME” Forum

The Indian Business Council (IBC) is pleased to announce the resounding success of the Russian-Indian Forum “TIME: Mutual Effectiveness,” which took place on October 8-9, 2025, in the vibrant city of Kazan. This high-profile event, organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of India in Russia, served as a dynamic platform to significantly advance bilateral trade and investment.
The IBC was proudly represented by a distinguished delegation led by its President and including key members Mr. Akashdeep Singh, Mr. Krishna Kant Aggarwal (Global Jel), and Mr. Dmitri Brada (Grover International). Their active participation underscored the Council’s commitment to building tangible economic bridges between India and Russia’s dynamic regions.

A cornerstone of the IBC’s participation was an official presentation to the forum, which introduced the Council’s mission, capabilities, and pivotal role as a bridge for fostering commercial partnerships to a wide audience of Tatar and Russian business leaders and officials. This strategic introduction was a critical step in expanding the IBC’s network and promoting new opportunities.
The delegation’s agenda was marked by a series of high-level engagements, culminating in a significant meeting with His Excellency Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The discussions focused on concrete avenues for deepening economic collaboration, identifying key growth sectors, and building sustainable commercial frameworks between Indian businesses and the Tatarstan region.
Beyond the presidential meeting, the IBC delegation engaged in a packed schedule to solidify relationships and explore specific opportunities:
The delegaton contributed to a closed-door session with the Rais of Tatarstan, further elaborating on pathways for economic collaboration.
Productive discussions were held with Mr. Kolchin Ivan Petrovich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, and Ms. Zaikina Yulia Alexandrovna, Deputy Head of the “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone, focusing on industrial and investment projects.
Mr. Akashdeep Singh served as a speaker at the round table “Partnership in Action: Investment and Financial Opportunities for Russia and India,” outlining tangible benefits of deepened cooperation.
Holistic Contribution: In a unique initiative, Mr. Singh also conducted a well-received meditation session for forum participants, highlighting the Indian ethos of integrating wellness with professional excellence.

“The ‘TIME: Mutual Effectivenss’ Forum has firmly established a new chapter in regional cooperation,” stated the President of the Indian Business Council. “Our direct dialogue with the leadership of Tatarstan, supported by my dedicated colleagues, is precisely how we translate the spirit of our international partnership into actionable opportunities.
