On May 20, 2025, the Indian Business Council (IBC) and the Association of Medical and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Sverdlovsk Region (AMFPSO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The agreement was finalized during the Eurasian International Medical Forum in Ekaterinburg, held from May 20-22, 2025.
The Forum, attended by Mrs. Tatiana Leonidovna Savinova, Deputy Governor and
Minister of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, provided a platform for global dialogue. Mr. Farooq Mir, representing the Indian Business Council, participated in the Forum’s scientific plenary session, where he highlighted India’s advancements in pharmaceutical innovation and explored opportunities for collaborative research with Russian partners.
The MoU focuses on promoting knowledge exchange, joint scientific initiatives, and healthcare advancements, further strengthening bilateral ties in this strategic sector.
