On April 18, 2025, the Panjabi Association hosted a major cultural event with support from the Indian Business Council (IBC). Mr. Akashdeep Singh, President of IBC and governing council member of the Panjabi Association helped organize the gathering, which was attended by about 1,000 people. Guest of honor Singh Dilbagh joined the celebrations that featured free traditional food, lively music, and dance performances showcasing India’s diverse cultural heritage. The event enjoyed the distinguished support of both the JNCC and the Embassy of India in
Moscow, with H.E. Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Russia, gracing the festivities with his presence. This high-level participation underscored the importance of the occasion and strengthened the bonds between the cultural and diplomatic communities.
This marked the first time all major Indian community groups came together to support a cultural program. The event saw participation from Hindustani Samaj, Indian Business Council, Amma, Disha, Tamil Samaj, Gujarati Samaj, and Overseas Bihar Association. The collaboration showed how different Indian communities could work together to celebrate their shared culture while maintaining their unique traditions.
The gathering demonstrated the strong bonds within the Indian community abroad. People of all ages enjoyed the food, music and dance performances throughout the evening. This successful event set an example for future collaborations, proving that India’s diverse cultures can come together to create meaningful celebrations when they work in unity.
