From Visibility to Impact: IBC Strategies Next Growth Phase at Moscow Gathering

On April 13, 2025, members of the Indian Business Council (IBC) gathered at Dhaba Belorusskaya, a prominent Indian restaurant in Moscow, to strategize the organization’s future direction and strengthen its visibility within the Russian and Indian business communities. The meeting emphasized fostering deeper bilateral ties and outlined actionable steps to enhance the IBC’s influence.

Mr. Akashdeep Singh, the President of the IBC, delivered an engaging presentation that highlighted several key initiatives aimed at bolstering the organization’s activities. Central to his message was the call for active participation from members, which he described as essential for the IBC’s growth. He emphasized the need for increased communication with both Russian and Indian partners while advocating for a more pronounced media presence for the IBC.

This would not only amplify the voice of Indian businesses but also serve to inspire collaborative efforts that could address the pressing challenges faced by members within critical sectors.

The feedback from members was largely positive, with many expressing satisfaction with the council’s current initiatives. However, there was a consensus that in order to grow, the IBC requires more “shareholdings” from its membership base. This investment is viewed as pivotal in transforming the IBC into a more robust organization, capable of playing a significant role in the evolving landscape of international business and fostering stronger bilateral relations.

Members also contributed valuable suggestions aimed at increasing the council’s involvement in business meetings, and proposed hosting more events featuring speakers from both nations. This would not only cover a wide spectrum of Russian-Indian collaborations but also help in building India’s reputation as a producer of high-quality goods.

As the session concluded, members expressed their commitment to enhancing the IBC’s activities to ensure they are more impactful and beneficial. While acknowledging the work that lies ahead, participants celebrated the progress made since the organization’s inception three years ago.

Significantly, this meeting coincided with the 78th anniversary of Russian-Indian diplomatic relations, a milestone that participants believe will be further enriched through the initiatives undertaken by the IBC. As the Indian Business Council looks forward to the future, the collaborative spirit among members promises to strengthen the ties that bind these two vibrant economies.
